What Is Key Fob Programming?
Key fob programming pairs a remote or smart key with your vehicle's computer so it can lock and unlock the doors, and on many cars, start the engine. Each fob carries an electronic code that the car must recognize before it will respond.
You need it when you buy a new or replacement fob, add a spare, or lose one and want the missing fob erased from the car's memory. Many vehicles require professional diagnostic equipment for this, and our mobile van carries it, so the work is done where your car is parked.

Both are key fobs, but they work differently. A standard fob requires you to press a button to lock and unlock your vehicle.
